In this brilliant and lyrical novel of family passions and personal fate, Ethan Mordden weaves a family saga of fiery intensity, as the scornful Witch of Fooley plays chess with the King of Tara to determine the fate of his sons.
I found it quite difficult to get started into this book, as my native language is not english, it was a bit hard to understand all the words. But once a few pages were conquered, I couln't stop reading this wonderfull tale, the beautifull choice of words, and the tension that wants you to know how the story develops. After reading the Buddies trilogy, I must admitt, that this was something quite different. But again Mordden hit an A-plus on the caracters and the interaction between them. His pen is so fluent, so observing and so absolutely uncompromising, that it is a pleasure, if not an honour, to read his work.Do make time to read this book, it will make you a happy person.
