One Brown Bunny

Brown bunny is out looking for a friend to play with. But each group of potential playmates doesn't want to play. The two red birds fly away, the three bears left in a bunch, the four blue fish swim away. Eventually bunny gives up, having not found anyone to play with in his travel through the forest. But then, as he heads home, there they all are; the birds, the fish, the bears and others, finally ready to play. The easy-to-follow counting structure and fun illustrations make this a good early reader book, both with adult help and without.
