On the Ragged Edge of the World

My oh my how I loved this 2nd book in the series better than the first book (Calendar Boys October) which I didn't think was going to be possible. Not only are the sex scenes hot and steamy, they also have that absolutley true love feel to them, which I love. I only wish the story continued on because would buy it in a minute and enjoy every page I'm sure. I have grown to love Jamie Craig's style of writing!

Former Argenti agent Darren Sumner is happy with his Alpha werewolf lover, Aden Richter, but all isn't perfect. Darren still isn't sure where he fits into Aden's pack, whose members all seem to hate him. Then a former colleague arranges to meet Darren, and warns him that something strange is going down in the werewolf world. Aden is in the midst of a delicate balancing act. He's never been as attracted to a lover as he is to Darren, and he's continually impressed by the man's resourcefulness, but he's also dealing with Darren's past as a werewolf-killing Argenti and the pack's extreme dislike for the man. Hearing that an ex-lover who almost got him killed is holding fundraisers all over the city bothers Aden a lot more than he wants to admit. When he and Darren discover what's really going on, will they be able to stop it before it's too late? On the Ragged Edge of the World is an action-packed story. I recommend reading Trick of Silver first to see how Darren and Aden got together, but the book could probably be read without that (it just wouldn't be as enjoyable). Former agent Darren is having trouble fitting into his new life, but his fighting skills and cleverness set him in good stead. I liked the way he was willing to fight for status in the pack, and his dislike of sitting on the sidelines. Protective, alpha male Aden showed more of his tender side, and more willingness to compromise when necessary. There are several interesting secondary characters, and the plot (which I won't spoil here) is full of twists, turns, tension, action, and of course, hot sex scenes. Despite the violence and fighting, the story concludes on a sweet and satisfying note. Fans of Jamie Craig, werewolves, or stories with a lot of action will be sure to enjoy On the Ragged Edge of the World. Cassie Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Jamie Craig is someone whose books I automatically buy, knowing that I'll love each one. This is a continuation from one of the Calendar Series novellas, the October month more specifically. The sequel is hot, it was well paced, and I love that we got more time with these characters!

WOW - what a great book. This story actually picks up where Calendar Boys-October left off; but it stands on its own if you haven't read the other book. The characters are wonderful, the fight scenes are terrific and the sex - well it's the writing team of Jamie Craig - what do you think?!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and highly recommend it.
