On My Own

I got this book a few years back for my older daughter and now my 2 1/2 year old loves it just as much. Mungo is a little monkey that likes to "push the limits" that his mom sets. He seems to encounter all of the mischief that his mother warns him of, like stepping on a lion's nose, or hopping across a stream on what he thinks are rocks, but turn out to be crocodiles' heads. He even swings across the jungle on what he thinks are vines, but really are snakes. What a book any little "rebel" could relate to. :) Beautifully illustrated and the words just flow as the story unfolds. I highly recommend this delightful tale to anyone!!
