this book is about a christian woman who finds out that she has been adopted and she is really a jew. Her husband is also a jew but supposedly he converted (not possible, once you are a jew there is nothing you can do to change it)she starts finding out more about judiasim and her past and start looking for her family. she realizes that her phobia of trains is not just a phobia but an outcome of a train accident that she was in as a young girl. this story is moving and inspirational. it deserves five stars in the least.

"On a Golden Chain" is the story of a woman and her family. When she discovers that she may have Jewish roots, she and her husband begin searching for both her roots and their Jewish Heritage. This is a wonderful story for young and not so young Jewish women. It emphasizes a traditional form of Judaism and Jewish commitment. I highly recommend it.
