Destroying America!

...ours! This is the sort of filth that might convince members of the rising generation that their rising members are actually good and should be enjoyed---if they're relaxed and comfortable in their own skins, how will we preachers ever get through to them that they are as a loathesome spider in the eyes of God, and only His infinite Mercy keeps his infinite justice at bay long enough to wait until you're dead before he throws you into the fire (to paraphrase John Edwards---the preacher, not the Sex-o-crat who got rich by suing God's chosen corporations)! And if they admire women, a suspiciously effeminate bunch of people, how will they stay manly enough to keep in line anyone who crosses us, is sitting on our oil, or just looked at us funny? And, given attractive characters' use of evil plants God made illegal that doesn't immediately lead to heroin and death, some readers even start using drugs not prescribed by their platoon leader or boss! Maybe this comic can't ruin it all for us by itself (but I have my suspicions), but it's certainly a step in that direction.

risque, but highly entertaining

real life stories with animal characters -not intended for kids explicit graphics it even has a pretty good story XXX

Omaha the cat Dancer - great comics.

I never been thinking that any comix can excite me so much as Omaha. Characters personalities, dialogs... It is funny and it's thoughtfull and it's interesting to re-read again and again. Only bad thing is that Vol.6 was the last one in a series.

Excellent stuff - characters are real and vital

It's hard to give these two enough praise for the Omaha series -- it's a set of books that makes you stand up and take notice, because despite the cartooniness and the funny-animal format, and even the up-front graphic sex, these are characters that have real lives and real problems and who have to work through their stuff in order to work with each other. So you're not looking at the cardboard cutouts seen in so many books, nor at the sex-crazed stereotypes of so many others -- rather these present an honest look at sex and morality and depression and confusion and love. One day, when the schools are presenting their watered-down sperm-and-egg routine, I hope to be able to hand these books to whatever kids I have and offer to talk with them about all of the issues and stuff it brings up. I can't think of a better education. It's just too bad schools don't have the guts for it.By the way, since you can't tell from the listing here, this is the collected Omaha VOLUME SIX. Or maybe they'll correct it once I tell them and this paragraph will become obsolete.

the beginning of an amazing story!

i picked this book up on a whim from my college library - then i called in 3 times to renew it! once i finally gave up and returned it, i went searching for vol.2 - i had to know what happened to Omaha, Chuck, and most of all, what happened to Shelley? an enthralling read! ^_^
