O Little Town of Bethlehem

My son received this from his Grandparents for his first Christmas (9 months old). He was mesmerized from the moment he opened it... probably because the music and lights start immediately. At first I thought it was rather loud, but not any more. The story is short- great pre-bedtime length!- the illustrations adorable, and the entire first verse is listed on the final page. We typically listen as I read the book and point out pictures, then we close/open the book for the last page and 'sing' the first verse along with the music. We read it year round and my son enjoys it so much, I'm buying him more light/sound books. It's great to see him excited about books!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book, my son got it when he was 11 1/5 months old, it is still his fav. at 18 months! He will just sit and look at the pages and "read" the story for the longest time! Very nice and the song isnt very loud, nice for long car rides!!

I really love this book! When you open the first page, the music "O Little Town of Bethlehem" starts to play (no singing) & it sounds amazingly well! It only plays once, so you have to open & close the book twice to sing all the pages - not a big deal. It also has lights which shine as stars. The illustrations are VERY cute & well done. My kids 2 & 5 are completely still while I "sing" the words. "O Little Town" is one of my favorite Christmas hymns and I think the producers of this book did a great job presenting it for children.
