"Super" Nova!

I was blown away by how good this title is. For months and months I had heard it was a good read and I finally broke down and checked it out. Boy am I glad! This is pure sci-fi fun! I never got into the marvel "cosmos" titles that didn't take place on Earth, but this has totally changed my thinking. I plan on checking out the Annihilation series that spawned this title too. Seriously, just check it out.

Ride On, Richard! Go Nova Go!

Nova is the best thing to come out of Marvels' Annihilation by far. Richard is one of the coolest guys around, and I love the interaction between him and the Worldmind. I loved his brief stint on Earth in this collection, and am looking forward to (hopefully) a major throwdown between Richard and Robbie (Penance). The stories when he went to help out the Kree were splendid also. I just wish that they had come up with a better name than Annihilation:Conquest, since these stories have really nothing to do with Annihilus at all, but a foe who is far more formidable. I am really looking forward to great things from this series. Ride On Richard, Ride On! Peace and Love. Jake

Nova keeps getting better

Before Annihilation, I thought the Human Rocket was just some C-List Hero in the Marvel Universe but now Nova is turning to one of the greatest heroes Earth has to offer. This TPB is a must read as it is a look into Nova's new life.

a must have

This series takes place after the amazing Annihilation series, and is an amazing ride, with Richard dealing with the stress of being the last nova corps member. The art is stellar, the plotting and dialogue are fantastic. Nova was a B/C list hero for years but in the hands of abnett, lanning and chen he is all A list from here on out. This collects the first 7 issues and well worth the investment. It does have a tie with annihilation conquest but its not necessary to pick up that series in order to enjoy the book.

Say hello the most interesting hero in the Marvel Universe! (no, seriously!)

Before Annihilation, i always saw Nova as a Marvel B-character who was good for a goonie guest appearance in other comics from time to time. Then came Annihilus and his "annihilation wave". We saw Nova inherit the total power of the Nova Corp. (after the home planet was obliterated) Then after being trained and mentored by the new look Drax the Destroyer, he was a key part of the resistance and eventual downfall of annihilus. Taking place directly after Annihilation Nova returns to earth for some R & R and comes face to face with none other than Tony Stark who has a proposition you can probably believe. With appearances by Gamora, Pennance, and the Phalanx this first arc of Nova shapes up to be really enthralling. This is by far the most underrated Marvel title to date. The art is spectacular, and the writing top notch, i wish i could give this six stars.
