Wonderfully written

This is one of the only books that I've read for university that I've truly loved. Demick has a writing style that makes you want to read more. Getting to know the North Korean defectors is both rewarding and painful, since you can feel their sorrow and pain. I already told my husband he has to read this book lol.

Discover a world that is like no other

This book was amazing. It brought tears, and anger when living the lives of the people in the book. North korea is a strange place. I recommend people read this book to walk a mile in the shoes of the captives in N. Korean's.
