Book Overview

Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I get everything -- and everyone -- we want. Snagging the latest Marc Jacobs bag or your best friend's boyfriend isn't pretty, but it's always hot...It's almost graduation and our lives are really heating up. Everybody's into college and it's obviously time to party -- as if we hadn't been doing that already! Will Blair and Nate's love affair continue? More importantly, will Blair finally...

amazing... need i say more

Okay, now I have to say for a few years I thought these books were definitely trash, until the summer of '04 when I actually picked one up and read it. They are so funny and so poignantly written. Ziegesar's writing just blew me away! This book was not my absolute fave, but it was one of the best. There were a lot of surprises in this one. Okay, so like the first book of the series, it starts with Blair and Serena totally hating each others guts, but all it takes is a lot of guys and a lot of drinks for them to rekindle their friendship. But high school is almost over now and the girls are going out with a bang! For all naysayers of this book, yes some of the elements of this series are questionable, but I seriously doubt teens will start drinking just because some fictional book characters happen to drink. There are far more important things to worry about then censoring a teen from reading!

IT"S IN THE SHOPPING CART ALL READY TO GO!

I have to say that the gossip girl novels are not influencing on my lifestyle in anyway as the worried parent wrote in the NO! review. these are just books, a way to escape from the world. i am personally against the use of drugs and think getting drunk is really stupid, but these books are just a fun way to enjoy an afternoon. if your daughter thinks that because the people in the book get high she should too them there is a problem! but if shes just reading them whats the harm in that! i think that these are great books. they're fun and exciting and well they give you something to do that isn't boring. there are worse things on TV and in movies than in this book.

Gossip Girl? More like Gossip AMAZING

I have read each of the previous books in this series... and let it be said that this one was DEFINATELY NOT a dissapointment. Filled with the same if not more scandle, deceit, and gossip as the first book it had it pulls you in and has u unable to put the book down. Find out what happens after Serena stabs Blair in the back, or how Jenny copes when looking at new schools, or how Dan goes off the deep end and Vanessa and Blairs living situation together procedes... oh how intrigueing! And Nate... hmm, maybe he will have an emarressing problem... and hey, will serena and nate (the IT couple) make it??? READ TO FIND OUT!

gossip girl # 8 did not disappoint...

Although I am an exceptionally fast reader, I read this book with surprising speed. I would not have been able to do this if not for it's intriguing story lines and downright enjoyable characters. This was, by far, the best gossip girl novel yet. Between Blair's surprising graduation speech, Lord Marcus' royal appearance, Vanessa's newfound sluttiness, and Dan's stupid chioces, this book was a stay-on-the-edge-of-you-seat, laugh-out-loud, I-wish-I-were-them, and thank-god-I'm-not-them, classic.

back w more scandal and sex

in nothing can keep us together blair still hates serena and nate. she also starts seeing a british guy named lord, (umm seems shes gotten over nate a little to quickly) while nate is still mourning over blair and stealing his lax coaches viagra (whoo getting a little to desprite arent we natie), Serena is pretending to be nates girlfriend so blair doesnt feel bad, like she does, but that doesnt stop them from having steamy sex on the floor of dressing room (even if it is on top of suits she might be wearing for graduation) Arron is still is usual self (I guess thats why he hasnt noticed that vannessa is cheating) Vannessa is sleeping around w arron and dan (shes just a sex machine i guess. .) Dan thinks hes in luv w vannessa so he gives up job oprotunities to be w her (she has a boyfriend, get a life or a real girlfriend although sleeping around is fun)Jenny is looking for the perfect wild bording school but itsnt having much luck shes already faked taking drugs and getting undressed in the woods (and i thought she was insecure w her body) if you luv stories w scandal and rich preppy bitches who you learn to luv so dearly this is the book for you. xoxo
