Wonderful worldbuilding

McKenna seems to grow as a writer with each volume, improving her scene-setting, interior monologues, relationships, and moral dilemmas with each outing. I'm most impressed with her detailed rendering of two different but complimentary societies and their respective prejudices and strengths. Well worth the price, and if you haven't seen the earlier books, get to them.
