North Carolina Tar Heels- Where Have You Gone

As a fan of North Carolina basketball, Scott Fowler's new book is a must for all of us who follow UNC. The information provided on former players is very infomative and well written. It was great to see what these former players had done with their lives and their close ties to the UNC basketball program. This book is a trip down memory lane with additional information that is added to my memories of these players.

A great chance to catch-up

I have worked relatively closely with North Carolina basketball for more than a quarter-century and, have gained a great knowledge of the history of the program dating back to the beginning of the Atlantic Coast Conference. As a result, I had a blast reading Scott's book. It brought back a lot of memories, and got me caught-up with a lot of the biggest names in Tarheel basketball history, as well as with some who may have been forgotten. It's an easy read, and divided up nicely so that you can read little bits at a time if that's all time permits.

Scott Fowler has done it again!

Scott Fowler has taken me back to my pre-teen years! I bought the book simply because Scott is one of the greatest story-tellers ever. But when I saw the first chapter was about Lenny Rosenbluth, I knew my sister had to have it! The whole family was forced to follow the Carolina Tarheels during the 1957 Championship season if we wanted a relationship with her, and she had a major crush on Lenny. My other sister choose Tommy Kearns, but was quieter about it. Reading this book was going back in time to when we were all younger and life was simpler!

Great stories for anyone...

I'm a Tar Heel born and a Tar Heel bred (class of 2003) so I was very excited to receive this book. I thought it would be fun cocktail trivia, but that underestimated how well Scott Fowler tells a story. I had no idea what an inspiring book this would be. Sports fan or not, Carolina fan or not, you will be reminded of all the packages success comes in: leading, integrity, building relationships and the stories go on.

Great book for fans of inspiring stories

This book is a great read for both Carolina and opposing teams' fans. I bought it for my wife (a North Carolina grad) and ended up loving it myself (UNC Charlotte graduate). The story on Charles Scott - the first black athlete on the UNC basketball program - is especially inspiring. The book is filled with great stories on success in sports, business and life outside of both. Scott Fowler is one of the best sports writers and storytellers in the country and we are fortunate to have him in the Charlotte area. This book is like reading 36 of his best columns.
