What a breath of fresh air for the classic Bible story about Noah and his ark.

What a breath of fresh air for the classic Bible story about Noah and his ark. God tells Noah to build an ark, to build it strong and to build it big. Noah does and prepares for the onslaught of torrential rains, but as he opens the doors to his ark and sees all the animals waiting to come inside, he must make more room for them all and include all the foods necessary for all the varieties of animals to survive. The illustrations that go along with the story are wonderful and unique, and it's amazing after seeing the photo of the author with his history in the back of the book, to reflect on how similar he looks to the Noah illustrated in the book. As an added bonus, a CD comes with this well-made hardcover children's book. William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys narrates the story himself and also included on the CD is the song that coincides with the idea for the book, `Didn't it Rain' performed by the Oak Ridge Boys themselves!A delight for young and old alike. I'd highly recommend this illustrated children's book for every child or grandchild. One for the keeper shelf

Noah, Didn't It Rain retells the favorite bible story about Noah's Ark found in Genesis chapters 6-9. God instructs Noah to build an ark in preparation of the flooding rains that are to come. Noah, his family, and every variety of animal, bird, and creeping creature are to take refuge on the ark. Children (and adults!) will enjoy repeated readings of Noah, Didn't It Rain. The illustrations by Bill Looney are vibrant and at times hilarious. Children will enjoy naming and pointing to the animals as they read the story. As an added treat, the author, William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys reads the book on the accompanying CD. He then sings "Didn't It Rain" on Track 2. This song is great to sing and clap along with the singer. Children will also delight in reading about the author/singer in the back of the book, and marvel how William Lee Golden appears to resemble Noah pictured in the book.

Not just another Childrens book

This book on Noah's Ark is a great book for kids of all ages that puts a little country twist on the story. William Lee Golden has done a great job in putting forth this work of literature.

And The Children Sang...

Noah, Didn't It Rain, is a spectacular book for kids of all ages. It brings to life the story of Noah and The Ark. My grandchildren loved the artistic drawings of all the animals and watching the story come to life. The cd that is included, offers a variety of ways to be able to share this story with them. They get so excited, not only listening to the story being told by their Grandma, but by William Lee Golden (the Author). For a finale, we play the cd over and over again. Listening to my grandchildren sing the song, "Didn't It Rain" by The Oak Ridge Boys, they get up and dance, as if someone had just put jumping beans in their shoes. It is a marvelous experience to have a good book that children enjoy so much. It makes being a Grandmother that much more cherishable.
