a wonderful Victorian whodunit set in late 1860’s San Francisco.

This is the third book in this historical mystery series set in San Francisco aftrr the civil war our herione Celia Davies is faced with her past when she stopped her late husband in the crowds during the 4th of July and the investigatior that confirmed him dead is killed. It had Celia and Nick Greaves dead. This was fun for another mystery in this series with deep characters.
