No Good Deed Roswell 2

As a huge fan of Roswell and especially the character of Michael Guerin, I was really impressed with this book. It gave me a glimpse of another side of Michael. The side that so desperately wants to be like Max. To be able to heal instead of hurt. I also like the fact that books are somewhat in connection with the T.V. story lines. I have read the first in the series and plan on read the third. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the show or is interested in it.

This was a great book

I liked this book... I thought the authors really understood the characters and displayed them well... This story picked up from the Christmas episode where Maxwell heals all but one little girl.... Although you don't need to see that television episode this book speaks well for itself.. It was an exciting adventure that included alien teenagers on a quest to protect their identity while they had to go incognito as normal human teens in a society that would see them as a threat if their true identity was ever revealed... A well written story that shows that human and alien spirit are more alike than anyone would dare think..

A 'Roswell' book that feels like it's from Roswell.

Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch have always excelled at writing books based on an exisiting television series, and making it seem like the real deal. Their characterization and plot creation have always been in sync. with the universe that the fans know and love, and their foray into the world of "Roswell", 'No Good Deed', is no exception. The book carries on the action from the second season epsiode 'A Roswell Christmas Carol', and so it is helpful to your understanding of the book as a whole if you have seen this episode and others in the season. But Smith and Rusch do such a wonderful job of describing past events (without sounding patronizing) that it is possible to read the novel as a stand-alone book.Unlike the first book in this new "Roswell" series, all the characters are utilized well, and the scenarios fit into the lexicon of the "Roswell" we all know and love. If you are a die-hard "Roswellian", then this book is for you. But even if you're just an occasional alien lover, but you enjoy a wonderful, heart-wrenching story and writing that makes you feel as if you are a part of the action, then 'No Good Deed' is for you. I highly recommend it.

This book is GREAT!!!!

If you are a fan of Roswell then this is a book to read. I've read the 1st book "Loose Ends" by Greg Cox and didn't like it that much because it didn't follow true to character. You could tell that the author never watched Roswell. But this book "No Good Deed" was awesome. It followed along with the show. I couldn't put it down. =)The authors Smith and Rusch knew what they were talking about and inculded everybody from the show, and I hope they continue to write more for this series.

sweet story

oh this book is just too good for any true roswell fans. thisone picks up the story of the christmas miracle and takes anangle the tv series could have but never did. on christmas evewhen max and michael drove to phoenix to save sydney, it became national news. so when a couple of con artist decide to take credit for it and offer up a phoney serum to desperate parentsfor $15,000 one desperate father jumps at it. little does everyone know, but he was in the ward that night and saw michaelstanding lookout outside the ward. so he decides to kidnap michael in hopes of finding a cure for his daughter. meanwhileback in roswell, a snoopy reporter has also been on this story.she saw security video tapes of the night and saw max and michaelin the hospital ward. when she spots max at the crashdown sheknows that she has a hot story and is desperate to do anythingfor the scoop. this is must read for all roswell fans. i applaudthe authors of the first 2 new books that they are picking upstrands from the tv show and giving them so interesting twists.i hope they keep up the good work and i cant wait for the next one to arrive.
