Alien Bug Teaches Sustainability, What Could Be More Fun?

This book is as important as the book you will buy your children on family life. The alien bug No Eat and his friend Lulu, take a brother and sister through the process of learning about sustainably grown, organic food. They show the kids how it's not only important to eat your veggies but to ask questions of your grocer and farmer about how your veggies were grown. My three children ages 6, 8, and 10 are all extremely attracted to this book. I could have never taught them these important lessons without the magic of No Eat!

What a Great Children's Book!

A truly fantastic book! My students absolutely adore it probably because it captures their imaginations & makes them laugh. Jon H.

~Fabulous for Teachers!~

Fabulous is the word to use to describe such a fun, but deep meaning, book. Its kid-friendly story is a wonderful way to teach children the difference between natural and processed foods (a line not so clearly drawn these days). Through cute characters, a plot is built around the notion of eating foods that are great for both humans and the earth from which we live. Also, what a fantastic thing for school-aged kids to be exposed to and read! It is a book that can open up doorways for discussion about health, digestion, environmental science, agriculture, and social awareness. Teachers will love the bridge it builds between healthful diet choices and junky ones, which we can then relate to how a brain functions in the classroom. I teach 5th grade and just read the book to my students. They were engaged and curious during the read aloud, as they were thinking about what they had just eaten at lunch! Many students don't know how to make good food choices and this book opens their minds to finding out more before popping something into their mouths. Wonderful!

A wonderful book with an important message

While this book is probably targeting children in the 6-12 year-old age range, my 3-year old son loves it. It has become one of his favorite books. It is a fun story about an alien bug named "No Eat" and his earthling friend Lulu, who go about teaching children the importance of sustainable farming and the benefits of eating healthy organic foods. When my son was recently offered some junk food, he loudly stated, "No eat, not food", and turned it down!

A perfect book

A great book teaching about how important organic food can be. Before I read this book I didnt really think that organic food was that important, but after I read the book, I learned that organic food can be be very heathy for our bodies. No eat is my favorite character because when the kids first meet him, he refuses the chip that they offered him to stay healthy. I really liked this book.
