No. 6 Volume 4 (Rat and Shion Side by Side)

Rat and Shion have been through much turmoil in the past months, but their battle is nowhere near over. Knowing that Safu is locked up in the Correctional Facility, Shion plans to infiltrate the facility. Dogkeeper talks to Rat and lets him know of Shion's plan of going solo into danger. Rat confronts Dogkeeper when she confesses Rat's feelings about Shion. Later on, Shion meets up with Rat and tells him that he's glad to have known him and ends up kissing Rat in the process. Aw. But Rat can figure out the difference between a goodnight kiss and a goodbye kiss. Rat punishes Shion for trying to sneak out and save Safu alone. Shion also punishes Rat for keeping information about Safu a secret. Rat knows the dangers of the Correctional Facility and even has nightmares about them. Dogkeeper and Rikiga agree to assist Rat and Shion in getting Safu out of the Correctional Facility. The four of them manage to get a Correctional Facility security system map thanks to the information from a high-ranked official. Rat figures out that the only way they can get into the facility is to be captured during the manhunt. Rat asks Shion for him never to leave his side during the manhunt. Rat clearly cares about Shion's wellbeing. In the end, Rat collapses in Shion's arms, causing Shion to worry. Will Shion be able to save Rat's life again? Atsuko Asano and Hinoki Kino have done a fantastic job progressing the story between Rat and Shion. I give them props for the story and art. I love the cover with Rat and Shion sitting back to back. I also love the scene where Rat, Shion, Dogkeeper, and Rikiga are all dressed formally. I'm sure plenty of readers are on the edge of their seats, wondering if Rat's okay. Let's see what the two authors have in store in the next volume. Please be safe, Rat.
