What a wonderful couple Melissa is strong and vulnerable and Duncan is the unlikely hero. I loved his patience and understanding.

The book was really good from start to finish. The author Sandy Lynn writes well. Would read more of her books.

This was quite a sexy book with great secondary characters for this story. The stories are happening more or less at the same time, but that just makes you want to read more. The hero was fantastic, he had the paience and the intelligence to deal with his fragile heroine and was quite sexy doing it. The patience definitely built up the sexually tension. The heroine had a hard life but was managing if not always successfully to try to live her life and when she meets the hero she thinks its just friends but realizes soon that she wants more and with the hero strength and patience she finds a great love worth fighting her fears of the past and the stalker of the present. My only small problem with the book is that there is not a lot of background about the vampire society (he is, she isn't). Where was the story located, is it general knowledge that there are vampires, are there other supernatural beings? But I really enjoyed this book, and will be getting the others my only problem will be paperback or ebook.

I am really looking forward to more books from this author. Love Duncan as the hero in this one, he is so tender to his woman. There is alot of sex but unlike other romantica authors you actually feel that there is a connection between these two that goes beyond the sex. Really worth reading.

Gareth is Melissa's over protective vampire brother and he has sworn to protect her from Travis and anyone who might harm her. Duncan becomes an important part of Melissa's life and he is determined to keep her safe as well. Duncan is a bouncer at club Strigoi. He and Melissa have an undeniable attraction, but she is an innocent and he considers himself a villain with a very tainted past. When Travis strikes, Duncan races to save Melissa. Duncan still thinks he is unworthy of Melissa's love though. Melissa has no intention of letting Duncan go without a fight. Night's Promise has vampires, villains, and steamy sex on every page. Melissa is innocent and yet tough and Duncan is sexy and little bit wild. Travis adds an element of danger that could be disturbing to some readers because of his sexual obsession for Melissa.
