A comprehensive study of the Nicaraguan Revolution
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Walker has written many books on Nicaragua since 1982, but Nicaragua in Revolution is still worth reading for anybody who wants to learn about the roots and intial moves of the Sandinistan Revolution. The book is a collection of essays, each focusing on an aspect of the revolution, and edited by Alice Walker. They cover everything from the role of the United States to the role of Nicaraguan women and the Catholic Church. While definitely sympathetic to the revolution, it offers detailed facts from a wide range of sources that makes it a necessary read for anybody interested in the facts.
