Never Say No

This was one of my favorite books as a young teen! Rob has been in love with Betsy forever, but Betsy has only seen him as a nuisance. When they are forced to create an original cartoon strip as part of a school assignment, Rob instantly becomes popular, and Betsy starts to see a whole new side of him. She starts to realize she's falling for Rob, but he seems to be enjoying his new-found popularity with the girls. When an accident destroys the cartoon strips they turned in, Betsy sees it as a chance to try to get Rob back. This is a really cute story that teaches you not to judge people by their outward appearances.
