In addition to Pietro's wife, Maria Josefa Conti, the renowned soprano, there is also his mother, Stella. Once the cast is assembled, the drama begins. For Pietro is not quite what the world thinks he is: a superstar Italian tenor. No, he was born in Scotland, as plain Peter Hamilton, a fact Stella had successfully hidden for years.
