Move a level above networking

A must get for those who want to move up a level from networking. If you understand meaningful and non-exploitive networking, then networlding is for you. It takes win-win to a new level. Though the concepts may seem as old as the hills, networlding brings out the better human qualities like altruism and benevolence. You will still achieve your goals of 'networking' but you will see connections in a new light! (For an understanding of networlding, please read excerpts available at this web site.)

Networking Success in the New Millennium

"Networlding" is a major leap in beyond related books from the 20th century. I'd even call it evolutionary.Dale Carnegies' 1937 classic, "How to Win Friends and Influence People," is still a great place to start building networking skills, and there are many other "good" books on the subject available today. If you've read any networking books, or have an appreciation for the power of relationships, you are ready for what "Networlding" has to offer.As the owner of Schmoozemonger.com, it's my job to stay on top of the various philosophies on building effective networks. After reading it, "Networlding" immediately became my #1 recommended book on networking. This book is perfect for anyone who wants to expand her/his circle of influence and have deeper, more meaningful human relationships in the process. Most of us would like to have greater connections in our lives, and Networlding is the art and science of how to make that happen. The key differences relate to the value-based foundation of Networlding, and the emphasis on mutual benefit. The book is also very strong in providing snippets of practical advice from other fields. For example, there is good information about how to handle first contacts that builds nicely on NLP. The work on establishing your values and life direction would make Tony Robbins proud. Perfect for work-life balance and the success ladder climb

I am an avid reader and a head of training for a large organization. This book knocked my socks off! It has so many simple, powerful tools for becoming successful in a way that not only benefits you but the world at the same time! I've never read a book that puts this all together.From "The Networlding Support Exchange Model" that shows readers how people actually do build successful relationships to the step-by-step process for connecting with a network of like-valued influential people (and the authors handhold you as to how to do this), I found I could take the ideas and implement them immediately. In fact, I already have connected with a couple of influential thought leaders online. It was much easier than I thought possible. The authors also share extensive academic research done on human networks, putting into simple words, how we can use this knowledge of how people actually build successful relationships to grow our own powerful and fulfilling networks. I personally have never seen a book like this. It is chock full of stories and strategies the authors themselves have used personally to grow their networks. In fact, the story of how they came together is a Networlding story in itself! It's wonderful to have a tool that will help me get ahead without stepping on others along the way. To the contrary, Giovagnoli and Miller show you how to get to the top and take great people with you along the way so you have lots of friends when you get there! What a great journey!

Networlding is far more than networking

I was very energized by this book, because it reminded me of what business and personal relationships should be all about. These two authors bring together an insightful yet practical approach to mutually rewarding and effective relationship building. This guide to collaboration goes far beyond "Rolodex-building" inherent in "networking", and instead emphasizes deeper longer-term alliances that accelerate success of EACH Networlder. The step-by-step techniques promise to enable more successful Knowledge Management and online collaboration initiatives by dealing effectively with the human factors issues which are frequent roadblocks. This book pools the experience of one of the most successful business relationships consultants (Melissa Giovagnoli) with a Chief Marketing Officer who has a wealth of experience in strategic alliances (Jocelyn Carter-Miller of Motorola). I'm sending a copy to two top executive friends of mine, who I'm sure will enjoy and pass on this book to management in their organizations.
