The previous reviewer got it all wrong, this is an excellent book! Regarding the lack of controlled clinical trials, of course they're lacking. These substances are not patentable. Drug companies cannot bottle them and charge 9 bucks a pill, so the trials will not be forth coming anytime soon! I've purchased the book, and tried almost every supplement reviewed, and have found some real gems. Quite a few of the herbs I'd never heard of before, even though I've been experimenting with natural supplements for years. I like the authors approach, because he's conservative on his dosage recommendations, he does not make wild, outlandish claims about these supplements, and he readily admits when clinical trails are lacking. What else could you ask for ? If you're looking for a boost in the libido department, I think you'll be happy with this book.
