An Amazing Book..... Especially If You Live in Texas!!

This is an excellent field book. Lightweight, well constructed, excellent line drawings and well researched. For biologists, naturalists, nudists and other outdoorsy types merely not having this book in your backpack or library should be a crime punishable by having to listen to polka music for hours on end. Every time I consult this fine tome I somehow feel like a dadburn Eastern interlectural..........well informed but dated. I wouldn't feel dated if this book had actual color photographs in lieu of the fine line drawings. And the price was very affordable especially when I have seen brand new copies fetching well over one hundred Yankee dollars. This book is especially important for me as I reside in Central Texas and work outdoors for a well known county agency. And yes, I did intentionally misspell "intellectual". Thank you for this opportunity to express my opinion.
Great field guide to Austin, TX woody plants.

Easy to follow field guide of the major plants of the Austin, Texas area. Good line drawings. This will not replace Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines of Texas by Robert Vines, but it certainly easier to carry
