Good children's book

I recently read this book for the second time, the first time being in 1977. It's a good book for children, even though it is now 30 years old. I remember watching the 1976 Olympics when I was a child, and this book brought back many memories to me. One interesting thing is that this book mentions American gymnast Bart Conner, who eventually married Nadia.
