My Prerogative- A Joyfully Recommended Title

Bartender Kelsey Howard is a bad girl, and she's not ashamed to admit it. She enjoys casual sex, and although she won't admit it to herself, she'd like something a little more permanent, with someone who understands her need for risky behavior. One night when Kelsey's all alone, she realizes she's being watched. And she likes it. Harlan Shaw is stunned when he sees the beautiful woman pleasuring herself, stunned and aroused. He lets her know he's there, and savors the fact that it arouses her as much as it does him. Kelsey is intrigued by the man, and she puts on several shows for him before inviting him over. And then the real fireworks begin. Sasha White has soared to the top of my to-buy list. My Prerogative is a highly-charged sexual romp that doesn't skimp on the emotions. The characters are so real that I felt as if they were part of my circle of friends, and I liked them. Kelsey is not ashamed to be herself, and that endeared her to me so much. She makes no excuses for herself, and lets Harlan know up front. The way these two fit together was perfect, and I was very sorry to read the last page, because that meant it was over. The sex in this novel is beyond hot, and the emotions are very real. I'm now on the hunt for other books of Ms. White. Lovers of erotic romance will savor every last word of My Prerogative. I know I did. Amelia Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Smoking Hot!!!

Sasha strikes gold again!! This book is a true scorcher. You will devour this book in one reading. I was unable to lay this book down. The story is one of a highly independent girl, Kelsey, who is quiet guarded. She is extremely sexual and into a little voyeurism. It takes one strong, hot-blooded, alpha male, Harlan, to reel her in. Harlan shows Kelsey that she is not only worthy of love, but also capable of loving. This is a smoking hot book; you will fall for the leading man and root for the girl. A must read....as are all Sasha's book!!

Strong Independant Heroine - Sizzling Great Read!!!

The thrill of reading a book written by Sasha White is the reason that she is an auto-buy author for me. My Prerogative is another HOT story that you won't be able to put down once you start reading it. Sasha has such a vivid imagination and Kelsey is a fantastic heroine who is not ashamed to love sex, have fun and not settle for the wrong man. She is somebody that could be one of your good uninhibited friends and let me say - you will feel the sizzle and sparks right along with her. Harlan is a fun, hot, considerate hero who will have you drooling at his way of knowing exactly what Kelsey needs and when she needs it. This is not a story just about hot sex - there is real emotion involved - in Kelsey's friends at work, her Mom and sister and her girlfriends. You will not be disappointed in reading this scorching hot and emotionally moving story. As an added BONUS - there is a short story with a relating character included at the end of the book. Sasha's books seem so real and the only bummer is that it ended too fast. I would love to read more about Kelsey and Harlan as it was fantastic to revisit some of the characters from Sasha's past books Trouble and Wicked in My Prerogative. GREAT NEWS!!! October 28th is the release date of an Anthology with Sasha (and other authors) called "Secret Thoughts", "Wish Upon A Star" (anthology) is released November 4th and "Primal Male" (paranormal) is released November 28th. Thank goodness I can get some fantastic reads from Sasha soon.... YAY!!!!!

Sasha White at her best

Kelsey Howard has a straightforward, unashamed appreciation for sex. She also feels a never ending desire to please her mother, to help her perfect sister plan her wedding, and to keep in touch with friends who seem satisfied with not keeping in touch. Kelsey enjoys sex with others or by herself, lights off or on, drapes pulled or open, but it isn't until she realizes she has a voyeur that things become especially interesting. When she and Harlan, the nameless, faceless man whose window faces hers, actually meet and form what begins to look like an actual relationship, Kelsey is more confused than ever. Harlan is an artist who is on the cusp of being discovered. His work is dark and intense, just like Kelsey, so it's only natural that he begins to paint her. He watches her from the darkness of his window but soon makes himself known and carefully pursues her, refusing to give in to what she thinks she needs from him. He wants to treasure and protect her, and take away the often-haunted look that he sees in her eyes. This book is exactly what readers expect from Sasha White with in-your-face sexuality and shameless acts of every shape and form. Kelsey likes everyone to think she knows exactly what she wants and that her brazen actions prove it, while the truth is that she's in a painfully desperate search for something but she doesn't know what. Harlan immediately sees this - I think this man is the most patient, understanding hero ever. He knows exactly what Kelsey wants, needs and craves and while he wants her to belong to him, he doesn't want it to be in surrender of herself. You see, Harlan can see who Kelsey really is and he's willing to wait for her to see it too. Kelsey is a very interesting character. There were times I wanted to cry for her, cheer for her and even a couple of times that I just plain didn't like her. I encourage everyone who enjoys romance - no, I challenge everyone who enjoys romance, to read this book. There was one sex scene in particular that I didn't care for, but not so much that I couldn't get past it. The incredible emotion and self-discovery in this book is worth any discomfort you may feel at raw and edgy sex. You don't have to be a fan of BDSM to appreciate the heartfelt emotion of Sasha's work. While Kelsey has relationship issues with several people in her life, so much so that readers may begin to wonder if all of the pieces will ever fall into place for her, the ending is amazingly satisfying and quite frankly, it left me breathless.

Edgy, entertaining erotic romance

Kelsey is a bartender in her thirties, who has a taste for the nightlife and all its advantages. Kelsey doesn't like relationships, in fact she runs from commitment like one would expect a male hero to. Instead, she takes what she wants from men, and gets rid of them when she's finished. But she's starting to feel the pressure from her mother to get a real job, and from her younger sister (who is getting married) to maybe settle down for once. And that's not at all like Kelsey. She does what she wants without regard for anyone else's opinion. Besides, how could she possibly meet a man who would satisfy her physically and emotionally, and accept her without reservations? Then one night, Kelsey discovers that she has a secret admirer in the building across from hers. And her secret admirer likes to watch. After a few night of him watching her pleasure herself and her one-night-stands Kelsey issues a challenge to the man and invites him over. She wants to see if he can handle the real her. But Harlan isn't like other men. He accepts Kelsey's passionate nature and encourages it. He knows that she's not a one-man woman, but as long as she reserves her heart for him, he's fine with it. Setting about breaking down the walls that she's built around her heart, Harlan romances and pleasures Kelsey until she has no other choice but to accept him. Or so he thinks... but it takes more than finesse to snag a woman like Kelsey, and does Harlan have what it takes? My Prerogative was erotic, intense, and entertaining. I read it whenever I got a few minutes free, and I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Kelsey is sort of an anti-heroine. She isn't sugar and spice and everything nice. Rather she's pierced, fierce, and unapologetic. And I actually loved that about her. I liked the fact that she put her own needs first and didn't need a man for any sort of validation. She was perfectly comfortable being on her own, which is why she was so startled by her attraction to Harlan. For a woman who's used to taking what she wants from men and getting rid of them when she's through, the idea that any man could be enough for her is daunting. And at first she fights her attraction. But as much anti-heroine as Kelsey is, Harlan is equally as much alpha hero and he's going to get what he wants--Kelsey. If you like erotic romance that's not afraid to go outside the box, you'll definitely enjoy My Prerogative.
