Hannah makes the tale with her death wish making her the opposite of her peer Luthias whose death wish is to dine on human blood until his victim is dead. Jen Holling is at her best as readers will be hooked from the opening encounter as fans and Drake will wonder whether a baobhan sith blood sucker can truly be in love. Harriet Klausner

I really enjoyed Drake and Hannah's story. I read My Immortal Protector (one of my favorite books of all time - Deidra and Stephen's story) and Drake and Hannah were characters in that book. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't give any details except to say that if you like adventure, romance, steamy love scenes and don't mind some violence you will probably love this book.

What's not to like; witches, hot sex, torture, romance, redemption and so much more! Hannah is a Blood Witch who comes off as very detached and sort of evil in the beginning of the story. Drake is angry, rash and consumed with his quest. They are an unlikely couple since Drake blames Hannah for his wife's death. As the story progresses you get to know more about Hannah's background and why she is so detached from everything. The story moves quickly and the romance and intimate moments between Hannah and Drake are hot.
