Full-color photographs and an accessible text reveal the many different life cycles of thirty living things, including grass, potatoes, apples, fish, kangaroos, and snakes. This description may be from another edition of this product.
My 5 and 3 year old sons loved this book. They enjoyed looking at the many colorful photos and learning facts about plants (grass, dandelions, apple trees), insects (mosquitoes, ladybugs, butterflies), fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds (ducks, robins), and mammals (mice, cats, dogs, horses, humans) and more. There was just enough text on each page that my children did not get bored but still learned some interesting facts about nature. Another nice thing about the book was that each page or two was devoted to one plant or animal so there were lots of stopping places. We took about 3 days to read the entire book. Definitely a good book for younger readers (2-7) but may be too simple for older children.
