My Fairy Godmother

When I told my niece I had a book to read her she ran over to me and immediately plopped in my lap and when I announced it was a Fairy book, she lit up like a Christmas tree. While I don't believe in shoving spirituality down the throats of children, subtlety works wonders and that is exactly what Samara accomplishes with her book. It teaches children of the Fairy Realm and Elementals without them even realizing it. This book is more than just something with pretty pictures. Children learn the importance of caring for the environment and the animals within it. It gives them signs to look for when fairies are near, a Fairy Godmother alphabet, fairy likes and dislikes, the elementals, fairy colors, times when fairy contact is strongest, and even how to create their own Fairy Godmother Treasure Chest. All of these are taught amongst delightfully water colored illustrations that even impressed myself. If your child (or a child you know) is into the wonders of the nature world, then this is a fantastic gift, not only for their eyes but for their mind as well.
