This book is easy to use with school-age English Language Learners who are at a beginner level. Once it has been reread a few times the students will begin to verbalize the questions and use the patterned sentences as templates for their own expressions. I absolutely love using this book to teach English.
A Great Interactive Preschooler Book
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 22 years ago
I first ordered this book, in all honesty, because of the title. You see my new kitten's name is Tuna. He was named by his foster mother at our no-kill animal shelter. I was, however, pleasantly surprised when I received the book and read it. It's great for preschoolers for several reasons. It's short in number of pages as well as number of words on each page, so it has just enough information to keep the young reader's attention. It is interactive because it asks questions (related to our five senses) inviting the toddler to participate. Every other page has five flip up cards with answers to each of the five questions (e.g. What does Tuna hear?). I love this book so much I'm ordering another one for my kitten Tuna's foster mother, as a thank-you for taking such good care of him before I adopted him. And I'm sure my 2 1/2-year-old granddaughter will love it as well as a Christmas gift.
