Mrs. Wishy-Washy Makes a Splash

All of the Mrs. Wishy Washy books by Joy Cowley are engaging and fun for the beginning reader. The pictures provide great cues for the words in the simple text. They are humorous and engaging even for the teacher/parent.

This is an excellent book for toddlers to enjoy. Mrs. Wishy-Washy and her animals are fun characters that little ones will find humorous. This is one in a series of Mrs. Wishy-Washy books. Once you have one, you have to have them all. My daughter thinks Mrs. Wishy-Washy is hilarious, not to mention some of the other characters that are introduced in Joy Cowley's books. Not only does my 2 year old like this book, it is a great emergent reader for children in my first grade classroom. What a great way to start reading with this repetitive style of writing.
