In this super memoir and truly original book, a former Tory cabinet-minister decides to take a walk round modern London--the real London, beyond Kensington and Chelsea--and in so doing has many irreverent and hilarious adventures along the way.
Quirky British humour from a pensioner...most of Mr. Notts adventures in this book involve admiring women and trying to make his cruise to Norway the most enjoyable. From attending tea dances at various places (with not much dancing on his part), to a visit to the White Rhino (look this one up for yourself), and finally the cruise where nothing is as he thought it would be. Mr. Nott also give is his lineage history in a comical way...he "thinks" he might have a claim to the crown. LOL. Also, his love of his farm in the South west of England definitely comes out. Read it for the English humour.
