Great cultural addition to Sign Language class for elementary/middle school students

I assigned one biography for each week of our class. They are short, so I didn't feel like I was asking the students to do too much reading. I also assigned the comprehension questions from the Movers & Shakers Student Workbook as homework. In middle school classes we'd work through the Language, Homonym, & Idiom lessons in class.
It's an older book, so it would be wonderful if they'd consider doing another, with more contemporary Deaf notables.

With this book, I am able to visualize the experience of Beethoven, and chuckle at the situation imposed on Deaf Smith. The book captures the human nature of renowned deaf individuals. The writing style's appealing, and I certainly think more history writers use this book as an example of quality material...
