A beautiful book

I so wish I’d had this book as a child! It would have been such a wonderful foundation for spiritual exploration as I grew up. I bought it for my son and I can’t wait to read through it with him as he grows :)

Best childhood book ever!

I was so excited to find a copy of “Mountains, Meadows and Moonbeams” by Mary Summer Rain- even if secondhand and from another country. I bought this book 23 years ago and read it to my little girl throughout her childhood. So now that I am a grandma, I ordered it again as I wanted to allow my daughter to share it with her daughter. There is little out there, literarily, that provides guidance and support for children when it comes to extra-sensory perceptions, understanding the unseen worlds, or that fosters a deeper understanding and connection with animals and nature. How Mary writes and how the book is presented, illustrations included, made it easy for my daughter to understand. And she loved it! There are two sections to the book, one with short little “chapters” addressing different topics, and one that shares the lessons/medicine that each animal brings, including a poem for each one. Such an important inner-standing to have and certainly one that most of society has lost. Here’s a great little story which illustrates the value of this book. When my daughter saw her first spirit and was a bit frightened (actually, she saw some before this but didn’t realize others could not see them- however this particular spirit appeared in her bedroom), I was able to pull out this book and went directly to the pages which talked about spirits, and also the section where Mary described how kids can put up a protection if they feel they need it. Brilliant! My daughter was calmed and knew how to move ahead in dealing with this being. Needless to say, I highly recommend this book!! I also have enjoyed many other books of Mary Summer Rain’s myself.

Mountains, Meadows and Moonbeams By Mary Summer Rain

An excellent book for the pagan family. I loved reading this to my children and watching them light up knowing that they were not alone and not to be feared as so many of the children at school had tried to convince them. My children understand now that it is ok to be different and that God in all His/Her compassion, is not just loved in one way, but in many ways, by people all over the world. To love God is to love yourself and all around you. To share God in all the ways of the world is to walk without fear or prejudice. I will be getting more of her books for my children in the future. Mary's books are wonderful tools to help my children grow with love and understanding instead of fear.

A wonderful way to learn and understand.

I love MMM. I read it to my grandchildren ages 5 and 2 and it even held the interest of the two year old. It is a wonderful way to teach children who they are inside and how to tap into that inside. Very easily understood. The children loved the poetry as well. While I was reading it to them, my husband said that it was interesting even for adults. I think it is wonderful that such a book makes it easier for children to learn and they don't have to search most of their lives for the truth.

A Wonderful Teaching Tool

What a fantastic book! I bought this book when I started the process of awakening to my spiritual journey and to God. What better way to start learning than from a child's view? I bought this book to read with my Grandchildren who both see their Spirit Guides and Angels so they may better understand who and what they are in reference to God and all that is. The children are the future caretakers of Mother Earth and thanks to Mary Summer Rain these two children have a chance at keeping their gifts from God open and they will be able to use them through out their life for guidance.

Wonderful route to young souls and nourish them; resonates!

Great book. Reads out loud very well....great as a teaching aid to youngsters. Anyone who wants to assist kids with lap learning and or as a Sunday school activity starter, or after school ice breaker....filled with wonder and compassion and simply stated ideas that warm children and offer them respect and honor...the only way we'll create the best future and avoid violence is to read these kind of books and practice life based onb these ideas. Easy reading...done in about 60-90 minutes. VALUABLE Susan Alana Kobayashi

A wonderful book for people of all ages!

Mountains,Meadows, and Moonbeams is one of my personal favorite books, because it is fun, educational, and easy to read. This book is very understandable and filled with wonderful poems, stories, and information about life on this earth.I like this book because it takes more than one day to read so that it can continue to marvel you each time you pick it up.Normally I don't read books such as these, but for some unknown reason I was drawn to this book.I recomend this book to people of all ages,on the orderform it says "for ages 6-8" but dont let this fool you.Mountins,Meadows, and Moonbeams is easy to read and easy to understand. Also, for those who don't understand poetry, after every poem there is the moral or message that explains the meaning.I plan to also buy this book for some special child that I know.I believe that this book has impacted my life, and also the life of others.Another book by Mary Summer Rain that I just adore is called Star Babies, but in my opinion nothing can compare with these two books.I hold these two books close to my heart, and hope that my grandchildren may read them also.
