Mountain Dreams

This is my favorite romance novel. I really identified with the characters. The heroine of the story, Allison Masters, is overworked, overstressed, uptight, and has an impossible father. After going off the deep end on her cheating fiancé, who also works for her father, she is sent away to manage a hotel in Wyoming. Most women, since- lets face it- we worry about everything, can identify with Allison. The hero, Harley 'Beau' Beaudine, a retired country singer with issues of his own. Beau, after a major plane crash and 10 years of retirement, decides to perform exclusively at the Masters hotel in Wyoming. He works with Allison and quickly sees she is something special. Although Allison and Beau lead very different lives, it is clear they are perfect for each other. Every time I read it, I fall in love all over again.

I purchased this because at the time I viewed the book all the reviewers had given it 5 stars. After reading it I can see why. This is romantic, and heart-warming. Sexy and smart--and it is a story you walk away from, but can't forget!

I absolutely LOVED this book! This is the first book I've ever read from Cheryl Holt, but it definitely won't be the last. I picked it up on a whim, started it several hours ago, and literally couldn't put it down until I had finished the entire thing. Great characters, lovely plot, hot and steamy scenes, and just really grabbed me from start to finish. I look forward to future books from this author!

I've read quite a few of Holt's works, but this surprised me. Good, strong characters, good story line, I didn't put it down once I started it. For someone who's considering purchasing a book by Holt, this is one to get first.

She is not wimpy; she is not whinny; and she knows her time, with "Beau" Beaudine, is short lived -- so why not enjoy the moment? Ten years is a long time to stay away from center stage and country-star Harley Beaudine is not sure he wants to "come back." One does not forget painful memories. Guilt, loneliness, and nonchalance are the "required" order of the day. Beau is looking for a good time, not a long time -- so why not enjoy the moment and currently, Allison Masters is the moment! A good school of thought, all around -- until love moves in. Reviewer's Comments: For this reader, the work of author Cheryl Holt has been a roller coaster ride. Some of Holt's stories hit, while many miss! MOUNTAIN DREAMS is a hit and Holt's character development is the ticket! Allison Masters and Harley "Beau" Beaudine jump from the pages to create a romantic believer. Both characters are likeable and the reader wants their love to survive.
