Burned by the Fire!!

This book had me hooked right from the first sentence. Raven a beautiful young girl who is spoiled and pampered by her Dad a Drug Boss that is well respected in the community. Raven is given anything she wants and when she crosses path with the handsome, manipulative, abusive, and conniving Mizan things soon go crazy. Mizan a "Jackboy" always looking for a come up stumbles on a gold mine, Kingpin Benjamin Atkin's daughter. He takes over Rae's mind and body in order to get access to her father's fortune. Her father can see what type of guy Mizan is off the bat and wants Rae to leave him alone, but Rae is caught up in her feelings. Ethic a smart business partner who is new in town sees what is going on with Rae and wants to help her father get her back in control. This book was great from the beginning to the end I finished reading this book in two days, it was that good.

Ethic should be my man

Moth to a Flame is one of the best books I have ever read. I felt like I was reading about someone I knew. Raven was relatable and was turned out by an older dude. I was yelling at the book for her to just realize that everything that glitters is not gold. This book took me through so many emotions in just a few hours that my heart was racing by the time I was done. I can't wait for more from Ashley. She is quickly becoming a top shelf favorite of mine. Now where's Prada Plan 2.

New Street Classic

Moth To The Flame is the page turning sophmore novel by New-York Times bestselling author Ashley Antoinette (without her writing partner Jaquavis Coleman)."Moth" tells the story of Raven a young, sometimes NAIVE,fly, daddy's girl who happens to be the daughter of Benjamin Atkins the king of the streets of Michigan. After a chance meeting with Mizan a seductive older hustler (who is really a bloodthirsty jack-boy in disguise)in search of a come-up.Things take a turn for the worst. Using using sex, control and manipulation he uses Raven as a pawn in a mad plot to control the Streets the book was a quick satisfying read and I fell right in after Page 1. What I loved about this book is the way every action caused a reaction and everything fell into place almost in a Domino effect I also loved the originality of the characters and the unpredictability of the plot(Keep your eyes on Ethic).Sometimes I thought Raven was too damn stupid for her own good but sometimes we do stupid things for love.I think the ending was reminiscent of one of their previous books and I would have liked a more in depth description of Mizan getting his,but overall this is one book that should not be missed as I said before NEW STREET CLASSIC.If you never read any of Ashley & Jaquavis' previous novels this is a perfect book to start with.

Burned by the fire, my love is blind

I loved this book. It's exactly what you would expect from a book written by the great Ashley. I never saw the ending coming until the last few pages. A little reminiscent of another book of theirs that they wrote--but that's only in the ending. I had a few issues with the editing though, there were very obvious ones in the beginning of the book, but nothing that couldn't be easily overlooked. This book was the truth! It's about this girl named Raven who falls for a guy who is no good. She doesn't realize that until much later however. He gets her to turn his back against everyone who truly cares for her all in his attempt to take over her father's drug empire. Raven doesn't know that he's the bad guy until several life-changing events take place: from raids at her home, to a burglary, and constant abuse. This book is a page-turner. At times you've got to be angry with Raven for being so dumb (I was with her drug use, nobody could have made me do drugs at 17 or any age, but not everyone is as strong-willed) but at the same time, you get to understand it from her viewpoint to see why she sees things the way she does. I definitely recommend this read to everyone. In fact, I recommend anything that Ashley or Jaquavis writes. They have a certain quality in anything that they pen--separate or apart.
