I have read many stories of Moses to my children and grandchildren but I really liked this book. The illustrations are not overpowering but realistic and colorful. I liked how they started each page with "Did you know," and then gave a fact. That was a refreshing and different approach to the story. I think this book is fun and also a great learning tool. I have used this basic book to enilighten people on adoption.It addresses acceptance... i.e., Moses was excepted in the very home of the man who said kill him; I've taught area reps to put adoption in a different light; i.e., inability to parent a child no matter the reason, does not mean the child is not loved nor wanted; it is a shared experience. One gives her son life the other makes a life for her son.... The birthmom is greatful that he is accepted.... the list goes on and on. It puts birthmoms in good company, takes the stigma away that the child was unwanted; he was loved, loved his birth family, I could go on and on,...
