More Crazy Laws

Books about archaic laws that people have never taken the time to remove from the books are always amusing. While some are clearly long past a representation of reality, there are others where it is hard to see how it could have ever been enacted. Some examples in this book are: *) It is illegal to raise chickens in bottles in New Jersey *) Pigeons are not permitted to fly over Bellevue, Kentucky *) In Paulding, Ohio a police officer may bite a barking dog to quiet him. *) It is unlawful to keep a prisoner in jail on Sundays in Kulmont, Pennsylvania This book is an existence proof of what would seem to be absurd, that the law itself can be funny, nonsensical and bizarre.
