Amazing Book!

This book rocks -- I love Charmed and Dangerous, but Mission Irresistible takes things to new heights. The writing is sharp, the romance is to die for, and I laughed out loud with this book more than I have any other I've read in a long time. Harrison may be my favorite hero ever. Lori Wilde is a star, and this book won't disappoint.

such a good book- kept me reading all day- since morning till night- the only time i put down the book was once i finished it- a lovely plot and funny romantic scenes. the typical lovey dovey stuff: ditzy, hyper female falls in love with an intellegent, antisocial male. WORTH READING!

Mission Irresistible is a delightful tale of romance and adventure. Cassie Cooper is banking on this ball and exhibit going off without a hitch. Things are running smoothly until a mummy is knifed at her feet. Then the focus of the collection disappears. Cassie turns to Dr. Harrison Standish, the thorn in her side at work for help. Archaeologist Harrison's career is riding on getting the missing Amulet back to the museum. He reluctantly agrees to help Cassie solve the mystery. But Cassie is proving to be a bigger temptation then he bargained for. Harrison has cut romance from his life but being with Cassie 24/7 is making his mind and his hands wander. Cassie and Harrison are proof that opposites to attract. Their banter had me in stitches and they sizzle with chemistry. They bring out the best in each other and learn something about themselves along the way. Excellent follow-up to Maddie Cooper's story in Charmed and Dangerous.

Ms. Wilde does a superb job of writing this wonderful romantic and contemporary novel. Filled with a little lust, a little mystery and a bit of fun, you won't want to miss this one. Also recommended: Full Bloom by Janet Evanavich and Fire In the Ice by Katlyn Stewart

Danger, romance, and sex are intertwined in Lori Wilde's new romantic tale of opposites attracting. In one corner: Cassie Cooper, a cute PR whiz with an active love life but spooked by the notion of "one man for the rest of her life." In the opposite corner: Dr. Harrison Standish, an Egyptologist with a nerdy, color-blind professor's wardrobe; he learned early on that love was for suckers. Naturally, these two are destined to clash early at a museum's masquerade ball organized by Cassie's firm. When the main attraction of the evening -- a legendary amulet -- is stolen, the two are forced to team up to find the jewel and defeat the bad guys. In between (you guessed it!), they fall head-over-heels. Like Janet Evanovich, Wilde knows how to give fast-talking, spunky heroines the sweet romance they deserve, but Wilde's love scenes are, well, a lot wilder.
