Enjoyable...

It was amusing to read about the two different sides presented in the on-going debate about beauty pageants. In the blue corner, there's Elizabeth Wakefield; reliable, dependable and downright dull. Obviously, Liz's morals don't need to be discussed, it's obvious that when it comes to pageants, Lizzie is no way o-kay! In contrast, the lovely and beautiful and um...beautiful Jessica Wakefield stands in the red corner. it's...

Right on Jess!

I totally agree with Jess on this subject because beauty pageants are a lot of fun to compete in. Plus, it helps you get college scholarships if you win. And don't try to even say beauty queens are stupid because I am an honor student who does lots of community service and gets wonderful grades!

Right on, Liz!

I sided mentally with Liz here. Beauty pageants are dreadfully sexist and should be banned from this universe! I have the feeling the BSC's Abby Stevenson and Mary Anne Spier would back Liz on this one, maybe even the whole BSC. So would the Fab Five series' Katie Shannon. Maybe Jessica will grow up and realize that, too. Physical beauty really gets you nowhere in this world.
