Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes: Removing Cultural Blinders to Better Understand the Bible

This is where culture and the Bible meet head on. Every culture has those things that go without saying, and the Bible is no exception! How one culture reads the Bible can be very different how another culture reads the Bible. The more we understand the Biblical culture or context and the more we learn about how different cultures than my own understand scripture, and entire world is open to new understanding of what scripture might be saying. It isn’t as black and white or simple as we would like it to be.
