Mirror of the Invisible World: Tales from the Khamseh of Nizami

I discovered this book via a research project for an Art History course. I had no idea what an amazing book it would turn out to be! The manuscript illuminations are great quality and just gorgeous, and the stories are touching. This is probably the best summary of these stories in their entirety that you can get--I'm sure translating the 6,500-verse "Khosrow and Shirin" alone would be quite a labor! Before reading this book I had no knowledge or particular interest in Persian literature, but now I consider Nizami's Khamseh one of my favorite works of literature. If you can get ahold of it, you will be extremely pleased!
