This book would be of interest for anyone interested in the Civil War or in American art. It includes some hundreds of the most beautifully (if not always the most accurately) rendered works on the Civil War. Included also are sections devoted to art celebrating black soldiers and the families of the soldiers. I was also surprised at the amount of text in this book - the pictures aside it is a sturdy reference to the whoss and when's and where's of the War.
