Mind Your Manners, B.B. Wolf

It’s not about the story, but this is not very good condition

This is one of those "must haves" for your shelves. Timeless and just plain FUN! The heaviness of fairytales is finally lifted. Give a "wolf" a chance and he will show you his "other" spots. My six year old laughed, I smiled, my husband aknowledged "this is good" and we read it again and again. Don't miss this one, hard to find in stores.

This book is fantastic. I'll admit my daughter is not quite three, but she loves this book with a passion and requests it many times a day (we probably both have it memorized). It is fairly low on text-picture ratio (one of the reasons it is good for a young child, and also why I don't mind reading it so often) and the pictures are captivating. There are so many little pictorial jokes sprinkled throughout the book, so for a parent (or older child) there is some subtler humor to enjoy as you read. The wolf is endearing in his orange plaid suit as he heads off to his first tea-party twirling his cane and singing a little song to help him remember his manners. I've made up my own tune and my daughter LOVES the little song - we sing it even when we are not reading the book. This is a book along the same lines as "Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners", which I believe Seibold also illustrated, and which was also a big hit in my household. I doubt you will be disappointed in this adorable, funny, captivating book, whether you are a toddler or an adult or anyone in between who just loves children's literature.

This is a GREAT read-out-loud book that children will want to read and hear over and over again. It's so cleverly written and illustrated that adults will love it as well. What will happen when B.B. feels a burp coming on? You MUST buy this book for your children and find out. Oh, heck -- buy it for yourself, 'cause that's just how good it is! Love it! So will you!!

Judy Sierra's MIND YOUR MANNERS, B.B. WOLF receives Jotto Seibold's whimsical and fun drawings as it tells of B.B. Wolf, formerly known as Big Bad, who sets off from his senior citizens home to attend the local library's yearly storybook tea. He wants cookies - but three cartoon characters have also been invited, and vie for the food in this hilarious story of a bad wolf gone good.

It's beautiful. Run, run as fast as you can! And buy this book. Really, it's 100% genius. And the visuals by J.Otto? That man draws on something behind him with his eyes closed and the universe makes changes for the better. Get it!
