Sure it was a good idea. It's a nice glossy book with a companion cd. I meant to get to it...I mean it's sitting just to the left of my laptop. I'll get to it one day, but for now I just look at the book once in a while.

I believe this book is a great book. However, people who buys it are not aware that the book is for intermediate level. It is assumed by the author that they should have a basic knowledge of how to use excel. Please read the title, and the back cover page to let you know for who it is written. This book was not written for beginners, do not give a bad review about it if you do not know how to use excel at all. Buy a book that...

No doubt the best reasonably complete guide to Excel 2000. It's well written with plenty of apposite examples and many of these are on the accompanying CD Rom.
