I am comparing this textbook with Microeconomics 10th by Baumol/Blinder, Economics 18th by Mcconnell, and Economics 18th by Samuelson. Due to a less-than-stellar teacher, I studied off of several economics textbooks and found this one to be the easiest to understand in terms of basic concepts and key terms. McEachern is blessed with the ability to teach the material as if you are a layman, someone who hasn't studied Economics before. Whereas Mcconnell's text feels like reading a dictionary (extremely condensed liner notes and few examples), McEachern explains every concept clearly, then repeats it for very important concepts. Plenty of charts and graphs, with helpful side notes, exercises, and summaries. Although it ties in less real life current news like Baumol's does, it still gets the point across very clearly. But don't take it from me, try reading a sample of their chapter on Google books search. They have limited previews scanned online for free.

I needed this book for class. Not only did I get the correct edition (as represented), but I got it sooner than expected and for less money than at any brick & mortar store I checked.
