Tighly written, easy to understand and information rich

This book is divided into three parts and covers about 12 different topics. It is 175 pages long (not including the index). It would be easy to go to this book thinking that the subject matter would be covered in a superficial way. But that impression would be wrong. Finley has been able to distill the highest points of several different mental disciplines -- ranging from power thinking, shortcuts in mental arithmetic, memory improvement, logical thinking, greater creativity. Any reader who takes this book and practices what Finley mentions will find his/her mind improved greatly. Of course, there are books that deal with each subject in a fuller manner, and perhaps reading this book will stimulate the reader to continue by learning even more. It would be a great case of knowledge begetting more knowledge. This book is ideal for a busy person who wants to improve his or her life and wants some succinct, tighly written and easily understood directions on how to do it. The practicality of the suggestions show me that the author has been there, done it, and knows what he is talking about. Try it!

"Wonderful, well written, different, worthwhile reading."

This was a great little book. The author covered topics such as, improving your vocabulary; speed reading; listening--rather than speaking; analyzing situations; using correct grammar; etc.. Most books in this genre are directed more at hype and go-get-it-iv-ness, this philosophy is fine, but it's great to read from a different perspective from time to time. I feel that the author did a fine job writing this book. I feel that reading Mental Dynamics was a worthwhile endeavor, and would recommend it highly.

Fun and helpful!

This book is full of great examples of how to think logically and creatively. I've bought copies for friends and they all love it, too!

Excellent--informative and helpful.

It's fun and easy to read, but really quite helpful. I highly recommend it.
