Short, But Powerful

This book contains several memory improvement techniques that are effective and easy to learn. Years ago I read another well known memory book and learned several of the methods found here. I have used them and can verify that they work. It takes practice and effort to master them, but it is worth it. The author demonstrates systems and provides many examples. He incorporates vivid pictures that will undoubtedly strengthen the understanding in the minds of readers. Some of the specific things that he shows one how to remember include the following: The Ten Commandments, the number of days in the months of the year, the colors in the rainbow, and the names of the tribes of Israel. Those are some of the simpler ones. He also provides instruction in how to do much more difficult things such as turning numbers (even very long ones) into words to more easily remember them and learning vocabulary in foreign languages. Reading and practicing these will be of great benefit to anyone who wants to improve his/her memory. This is a skill that is valuable for everyone. One of the great strengths of this book is also its one weakness. It is pretty short - 62 pages. That makes it quick to read, but I think that some of the methods could be better explained with a little more detail. That would be helpful to readers who are totally unfamiliar with these methods. In spite of that one criticism, this is a valuable book. I recommend it.
