A person's mental premier into the infinite vastness of the concept of an origin, hunting for bits of clues which might indicate a meaning and purpose to life, is arguably his first truly conscious endeavor. For the vast majority of us, it is also our very last. Our instinctual passion to form a personal relationship with something, anything greater than ourselves is a commonality among all men. It's practically the only thing we do agree on; There is a creator. However, most men odiously surrender control over their own destinies by 'following the herd' and, in turn, gamble their eternal soul based merely on the popularity of said theology amongst their peers. They never truly settle the question which constantly intrudes on our daily lives; "Who am I?" With technology, language, and religion man has distinguished himself from the beasts, but upon further examination of the selfishness and barbarity with which we treat each other, one could hardly claim that man has mentally separated himself from his more animalistic instincts, regardless of which faith he has chosen. How many of you reading this are completely free from the bonds of passions? Could you give it all up, if it were necessary for a certain purification to occur? That is, after all, what the majority of this world's Prophets have instructed us to do. What I have attempted to capture in this collection of theosophic poems is one such man's life-long, internal crusade to decrypt this esoteric signature. This journey has carried me to quite unexpected destinations, but I was able to pull through even the bleakest of scenarios and come out stronger and wiser on the other side. From the abyss of homelessness and suicidal addiction to the ethereal heights of love's salvation and everywhere in between, this book represents the metamorphosis of a human-being into a being-human, as it was intended. My only hope is that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
