Could only get through 25 pages.

The writing style was jarring and overall the book was trying to appeal to youthful readers who have limited language skills beyond vulgarities. The Narrator served as the major annoyance to have me toss the book early.

Funny and Unexpected

I had expected this book to be somewhat like the other teenage books that I’ve read about cancer: either sappy and sentimental or full of love and self-discovery. Just a few pages in, I realized that it would not be how I expected. Nevertheless, it was funny and relatable. There were cringe worthy moments, but that’s just the reality of the teenage life. I enjoyed reading this book, but probably wouldn’t come back to it unless I have completed my ever growing to-be-read pile.
